Real/Digital-world Solutions: Advancing Interactive Technologies.
Ubiquitous Sensing + X
This research direction investigates the theories and techniques of high-fidelity (e.g., compact forms and good spatiotemporal resolution and spatial coverage) human behavior sensing in the ubiquitous sensing space leveraging multimodal sensor data. Further, application areas based on ubiquitous sensing techniques, such as intelligent interaction, health intervention, art creation, and embodied intelligence, will be explored.
Immersive Experience in Mixed Reality (MR)
This research direction explores the paradigm of future immersive experience fusing physical and digital spaces, in terms of content and interaction. For example, regarding the content, how can state-of-the-art AIGC and CV/CG techniques revolute the process and bar of content production, and how can such a process be more transparent and accessible to the majority? For the interaction, what do we mean by "true immersiveness" in the MR experience, what are the gaps, and how can we bridge these gaps?
